Setting some active goals
30 minutes of activity

Improve the quality of your life by setting some small and encouraging goals. The U.S. Surgeon General reports that a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate physical activity, such as walking a couple of days a week, can produce long-term health benefits. Each step you take can add up to great results. If you meet your personal benchmarks one week, try to build on that success the next! Here are some examples of goals you can set:

30 Minutes of Activity - Get a couple of 10-15 minute sessions in several times a day and you're on your way to achieving your goal. Whether it's walking to the ATM, playing with the kids at a park, walking down the MKT Trail or another activity you enjoy, you can do it!

Choose Walking - When given the choice beetween walking and driving, choose walking. Go up the stairs instead of the elevator, park further away from the store than usual, or walk the kids home from school if you can.

Active Weekends - Spend a couple of hours each weekend doing something physically active such as planting a tree, joining your neighbors walking on the trail or playing Frisbee with your dog in an off-leash area.
